Votran schedule changes for Biketoberfest

In response to anticipated traffic congestion during Biketoberfest, some Votran routes have been changed. Heavy event traffic is anticipated, and Votran riders should expect some delays, interruptions and possible route deviations. Detours will be activated as dictated by traffic conditions. The following route changes will be in effect:

Daytime routes
Schedule delays will occur from Thursday, Oct. 17, through Saturday, Oct. 19.

• Routes 1, 8, 18 and 19
  • Buses will be unable to use the Intermodal Transit Facility (ITF). Passengers should wait for Route 1 and 19 on State Road A.1.A., Route 8 on Halifax and Route 18 at the Seabreeze Bridge. There will be no service from Bay Street to Fairview Avenue on Beach Street.  
• Route 1
  • Outbound:  Right on Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard, right on Palmetto, left on Bay, right on Beach St. No Service in the ITF.
  • Inbound: No Service in the ITF. From Peninsula Drive, left on International Speedway Boulevard, right on Beach, left on Bay, right on Palmetto, left on Bethune to the Transfer Plaza.
• Route 7
  • Outbound: Right on Palmetto, left on Bay, right on Beach.
  • Inbound:  From Beach Street, left on Bay Street, right on Palmetto to Transfer Plaza.
• Route 8
  • Outbound Right on Bethune, right on Palmetto, left on Bay, right on Beach, left on International Speedway Boulevard, left on Halifax. No Service in the ITF.
  • Inbound: No Service in the ITF. From International Speedway Boulevard, right on Beach, left on Bay, right on Palmetto, left on Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard to the Transfer Plaza.
• Route 11
  • Outbound: Left on Palmetto Avenue, left on Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard, right on U.S.1, right on Fairview Avenue, left on Beach Street.
  • Inbound:  From Beach Street, right on Fairview Avenue, left on U.S.1, left on Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard, right into the Transfer Plaza. We will not serve Thames, Fentress or the Flea Market. Passengers going west of Thames should take Route 60.
• Route 12
  • Outbound: Right on Bethune, right on Palmetto, left on Bay, right on Beach
  • Inbound: Left on Bay, right on Palmetto, Left on Bethune.
• Route 17A/B
  • Outbound: Right on Bethune, right on Palmetto, left on Bay, right on Beach, left on International Speedway Boulevard, right on State Road A1A. No Main Street Service.  
  • Inbound:  From International Speedway Boulevard, right on Beach, left on Bay, right on Palmetto, left on Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard to the Transfer Plaza.
• Route 18
  • Inbound: From State Road A1A, right on Seabreeze Boulevard to Mason Avenue, left on U.S. 1, left on Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard, right on Palmetto Avenue.
• Route 19
  • Outbound: Right on Bethune, right on Palmetto, left on Bay, right on Beach, left on ISB.

Night and Sunday Service
Schedule delays will occur from Thursday, Oct. 17, through Sunday, Oct. 20.

Night service will start and end at the Transfer Plaza and will not go into the ITF. Passengers must use stops on State Road A1A.

• Route 1
  • Outbound: Right on Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard, right on Palmetto, left on International Speedway Boulevard, left on State Road A1A. Will not serve the ITF. Will turn around at Vining Court and Granada Boulevard. There will be no service on the Granada Bridge.
  • Inbound:  From State Road A1A, right on International Speedway Boulevard, right on Palmetto, left on Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard to Transfer Plaza.
• Route 3
  • Outbound: Right on Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard, left on Beach Street, left on Fairview Avenue, right on U.S.1.
  • Inbound:  Reverse routing.
• Route 4
  • Outbound: Left on Palmetto Avenue, right on Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard, left on Beach Street, left on Fairview, left on U.S.1.
  • Inbound:  Reverse routing.
• Route 10
  • Outbound: Right on Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard, left on Beach Street, left on Fairview Avenue.
  • Inbound:  Reverse routing.
• Route 15
  • Outbound: Right on Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard, right on Beach Street to regular routing.
  • Inbound: Reverse routing.
• Route 17
  • Outbound: Right on Palmetto Avenue, left on International Speedway Boulevard, right on State Road A1A. Will end at Raymond and South Atlantic. There will be no service on the Dunlawton Bridge.
  • Inbound:  From A1A, left on International Speedway Boulevard, right on Palmetto, left on Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard to the Transfer Plaza.
  • Alternate detour: If traffic becomes too congested, the bus will use Peninsula Drive and Silver Beach to State Road A1A.  Reverse on the inbound trip.

There may be service interruptions on Sunday, Oct. 20. Service will operate from the Transfer Plaza, but some routes may have to detour.

• Route 10 will stay on International Speedway Boulevard and will not serve the Daytona Beach Flea Market outbound or inbound.
