VoRide Offers Free Rides to and from DeLand and DeBary SunRail Stations

August 12, 2024

Volusia County’s curb-to-curb rideshare service, VoRide, is currently offering free rides within the VoRide zones to and from the new DeLand and existing DeBary SunRail stations for up to 8 miles. Passengers can take advantage of this offer by logging into the VoRide app and selecting the applicable SunRail station as their destination or starting point. The fare will be waived automatically if the trip begins or ends within the zone. This fee waiver is made possible through a Florida Department of Transportation grant.

VoRide operates in the DeBary, DeLand, Deltona, and Orange City areas, offering an affordable pricing model with no peak-time surcharges. Discounted fares are available for persons 65 and older, individuals with disabilities, and children 17 and younger.

Riders can easily book trips, add payment methods, and track their driver’s location in real-time using the VoRide app, available on both the App Store and Google Play. The service operates from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays and from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturdays, accommodating a wide range of transportation needs. For those unable to use the app, VoRide can be accessed by calling 386-210-9861 or visiting www.votran.org.
