Public transportation meetings planned

Votran and the River to Sea Transportation Planning Organization have scheduled two public meetings to seek input on public transportation in Volusia County. 

The meetings will take place at:

  • 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9, at Votran, 950 Big Tree Road, South Daytona
  • 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, in the first-floor training room of the Thomas C. Kelly Administration Center, 123 W. Indiana Ave., DeLand

Information discussed at the meetings may be incorporated into the 2017 - 2026 Transit Development Plan Major Update and the 2017 Transportation Disadvantaged Service Plan Update.

People who would like to offer comments, but are unable to attend the meeting, may do so by submitting written comments to Judy Hayduck at jhayduck@tindaleoliver.com or Tindale Oliver, 135 W. Central Blvd., Suite 450, Orlando, FL 32801, by Friday, Aug. 26.

The River to Sea Transportation Planning Organization (TPO) is the duly designated and constituted body responsible for carrying out the urban transportation planning and programming process for the designated metropolitan planning area, which includes Volusia County, Beverly Beach, Flagler Beach and portions of the cities of Palm Coast and Bunnell, as well as portions of unincorporated Flagler County.
