Votran Speedweeks service interruptions announced

February 15, 2016

Speedweeks will bring heavy traffic to Volusia County, and Votran riders should expect numerous delays, interruptions and route deviations. Detours will be in effect all day beginning Thursday, Feb. 18, and continue through to the Daytona 500 on Sunday, Feb. 21. Detours may change without notice when traffic becomes congested, causing buses to be rerouted to secondary roads.

Routes 11, 18 and 19 detours will be in effect beginning Thursday, Feb. 18, and continue through Saturday, Feb. 20. There will be no service to the Daytona Beach International Airport, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and the Daytona Flea Market.

On Sunday, Feb. 21, route 10 will not serve the Daytona Flea Market and will have route deviations and schedule adjustments. After the Daytona 500 race, there will be no service on International Speedway Boulevard west of Clyde Morris Boulevard for up to two hours.

Votran riders are encouraged to plan trips in advance. Riders may learn more by visiting votran.org. The website provides up-to-date alerts and real-time bus tracking. It also offers downloadable information for the myStop mobile app for real-time bus information anywhere.
